Ben Henry Sr. began carving at the age of seventeen in the late 1960s. He currently resides in the Six Nations of the Grand River, and is a member of the Deer Clan of the Onondaga Tribe. He is an established and respected sculptor, world renowned for his sculptures, carved in traditional style, having participated in various exhibitions in Canada, the United States and Europe. Ben's sculptures are balanced and harmonious, and reflect traditional native beliefs. He is the head of a family of carvers.
